Welcome to the Sally Prout School of Dancing
The emphasis within the school is placed upon Classical Ballet, which secures strong technique and discipline and produces a solid foundation for all other dance genres. The Classical classes are complimented by Tap and Jazz lessons, which allow a freer use of expression.
Children are accepted from the age of 3 years. At this age Ballet is taught with the emphasis on stories and mime.
Later, pupils are able to attend Tap and Jazz classes. Tap helps to improve rhythm and musicality whilst the non-syllabus Jazz classes allow a freer style of dance expression with the emphasis on fun.

Huge congratulations to Max who has successfully auditioned for The Royal Ballet School’s Junior Associate Programme.
Max will continue to train with us during the week and will travel to Bath for his weekend Associate classes from September.
What a fantastic achievement!

Posey and Ozzy have both been offered places on The Royal Ballet School’s online Junior Associate Programme. They have also made it onto the short waitlist for the in person programme in Bath.
Posey has already gained a place on the Elmhurst Young Dancers Programme so is going to be a very busy little dancer from September!

Ozzy only started attending ballet lessons a year ago so has done amazingly well to achieve this in such a short time.
We’re so proud of Max, Posey & Ozzy and can’t wait to follow their dance journeys!

Huge congratulations go to Posey who has been accepted onto the Young Dancers programme with Elmhurst Ballet School. Posey will attend classes at Elmhurst Ballet School alongside her regular classes.
Well done Posey. We are all super proud of your achievement.

Huge congratulations to Isabelle who has been accepted onto the Royal Ballet Junior Associate Programme in Bath.
